StudiQ is located in Suite 3, on the first floor of Bank House, 15 Gosditch Street, Cirencester, GL7 2AH. Access is via a secure entry system, please press the button marked 'STUDIQ' and 'Lime' to be let into the building.

There is limited parking available and is offered on a first come, first served basis. The parking spot is located to the rear of the building all the way at the back and to the rear of my Volkswagen Touran, which will have a StudiQ sign in the window.

Yes, at StudiQ you will practise Pilates using the Reformer as part of the full range of equipment, along with mats, towers, chairs and barrels which all combine to support Mr Pilates’ incredible system.

For small group class, duet or 1:1 session, please click here to be taken to our online scheduler. Once you have purchased your private and duet package, you book by email the times for your 1:1s and duets by appointment with Lizzie, to be held during the day and evening.

If you are a returning customer, please use the Log In button to see your account. You will be able to see past classes, your current package purchased and any remaining classes you have scheduled or those yet to be scheduled.

Classes are booked online and are done so on a first-come-first-serve basis. If you can view and book the class online via the booking system, Acuity, that class is available for you to book. Clients find and settle into a regular slot that works for them.

We have a strict 24- hour cancellation policy and we ask that all sessions are paid for before you start.

Comfortable form-fitting clothing is usually best to be worn during Pilates classes.

For both men and women, we suggest leggings or cycling shorts to give you freedom of movement. We would prefer your clothing does not have zips or clips as this may rip or damage the apparatus.

Please remember to bring socks to wear during your session. Pilates socks are not essential but will provide you with better grip and dexterity to carry out all Pilates movements fully.

We advise clients to arrive in their workout wear.

Please DO NOT WEAR SHOES in the studio.

We do have small towels and water available for use during your workout, however, please bring with you your own water bottle.

Unlike some forms of exercise, Pilates does not overdevelop some parts of the body and neglect others. Though Pilates focuses on core strength, it works the body as a whole.

StudiQ is the Cotswolds’ first fully equipped classical Pilates studio. We offer Pilates to small groups, duets and 1-1s in the heart of Cirencester.

We teach the classical method as created by Mr Joseph Pilates. Classes are conducted using the apparatus designed by him and still made to his patent, crafted by hand to highly engineered specifications.

The apparatus includes the Reformer, Tower, Cadillac, Wunda Chair and Ladder Barrel.

StudiQ offers bespoke packages for all, working with the springs on apparatus to enhance each and every workout and achieve personal goals.

Joseph Pilates was born in Germany in 1883; he moved about Europe a lot and during in the early 1910s was in England teaching boxing and wrestling.

As WWI broke, he was still in the UK teaching and helping within the medical camps as a nurse. It was during this time in the UK he started to develop the method he called ‘Contrology’. Also, during this time he started to develop the ideas for the apparatus.

Later, in 1926, Pilates moved to the USA; in New York City he opened his first studio. Joseph Pilates continued to develop, train and teach using his method as a basis up until his death in 1967. His legacy is kept alive mostly in part of his first protégé Romana Kryzanowska (1923-2013) whose passion for the method meant that ‘Pilates’, as we now refer to Contrology, is now taught throughout the world.

Pilates instruction is easy to come by these days. The ever-growing popularity of Pilates has put it on the map all over the world. This means that there are now many ‘types’ of Pilates out there. These have been now defined into two groups: Contemporary and Classical. Classical Pilates means that we follow Mr Pilates’ original method and systems using the apparatus that he designed and patented to support ‘the method’.

At StudiQ, we are proud to use the classical method. The training to teach the Pilates classical method is comprehensive meaning we learn the whole system, why and where the exercises link together allowing us to use the whole studio to challenge the client where they need it.

We ask clients to complete our New Starter or New Duet Introduction package before joining any classes. This provides us a chance to get to know your body and personal needs, and for you as a client to become familiar with the studio and its apparatus.
